It was so nice to have former RCSE member Wade Herring speak to the club this past week.  President Laura Lane thanked everyone for their donations to the Back to School Supply Drive for Haven Elementary and also reminded members of the two service projects the following week at P.A.C.K.  Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Wade Herring spoke to the club about why he decided to run for Congress.

Wade Herring, a former RCSE member, grew up in Macon. GA. He is the former president of the Savannah Bar Association, chair of the trustees at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church and board member of Georgia Appleseed.  Wade is running for Georgia’s First Congressional District because he believes in America’s Constitutional promise of equal justice for all.  Americans created the Constitution to form a nation with the promise of justice, equality, and liberty.  He will work to ensure access to these sacred foundations of our democracy for every resident of our district and our state.

Wade has dedicated his career to the law, to Georgia, and to the community we share. He believes in the power of our democratic system to overcome the current discord and gridlock, and he can no longer watch from the sidelines.  He is stepping forward to work for our community and the people who live here.  To learn more about Wade's campaign, please visit https://www.wadeherringforcongress.com
