Gordon realized early on that anyone can have an impact in the community. He said five people can achieve anything as long as you have the right five people. His advice was to be an observer, a connector, an implementer and than an observer again. What does not make sense in your community? What is thriving elsewhere? He gave multiple examples of how a handful of people have been able to implement change in Savannah. Some of those examples were horses for police, term limits for mayors, traffic lines on the way to Tybee Island, local vendors in the airport, and change on Broughton Street. As long as you put the pieces together and stay consistent, things will come together!
