Details for the December 12th Meeting

We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in the ANNE BONNY room which is adjacent to our normal meeting room.  The side door to ANNE BONNY will be unlocked if you would prefer to use that entrance.

Our speaker for the meeting this week is our very own Cale Hall who will provide an inspiring look into Square One: Trinity's Mission in the Squares, a multi-year outreach initiative that brings faith into action through deep listening, consistent presence, and meaning connection with Savannah's downtown community of individuals experiencing homelessness.  This workshop will walk participants through a plan for building trust, responding to need, and fostering healing in Savannah's downtown squares.

December 12th will be the last day we are collecting toys for CASA.  If you were unable to attend the holiday party and would like to donate a present, please bring it to the meeting this Friday.

RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests on Friday!

December 5, 2025 - Meeting Recap
What a great meeting this past Friday!  Miriam Rittmeyer was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow Pin and we welcomed Thomas Barrow to our club!  President Kim Campbell thanked everyone who attended the Holiday Party and donated a gift to CASA.  Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Luke Boyd introduced our speaker, Supriya Christopher, who is the Director of Public Relations for Visit Savannah.

Supriya began her presentation stating that her job is to amplify the story of why Savannah is one of the best places to visit in the world.  She talked about the three types of media used to promote our city and said that crafting relationships is essential.  Savannah has consistently been named one of the Top 5 cities to visit in the USA by Travel & Leisure and was featured on Good Morning America this past summer. Supriya and her team host travel writers in Savannah and also travel to conferences to talk about Savannah.  Recently, they completed a targeted strategy of traveling to all 22 cities that have direct flights to Savannah.  When it comes to international travelers, the majority of tourists come from Canada followed by the UK and then Germany.  She ended her presentation by discussing how AI is and will impact public relations in the future.  AI can be very helpful but in the end, it comes down to people and relationship development.
