We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in the ANNE BONNY room which is located adjacent to our normal meeting room. The side door will be unlocked if you prefer to use this entrance.
Our speaker for the meeting this week is Elliott Williams with ShelterBox USA which is an organization that hand delivers emergency shelter to families around the world who have been displaced by disaster or conflict. He will be presenting on the history and impact of this organization.

Savannah Area Rotary Meeting - Monday, April 14th. Last day to RSVP is Friday, March 28th!
On Monday, April 14th, The Rotary Club of Savannah (Downtown Club) will be holding a Combined Rotary Club Meeting at Hunter Army Airfield, coordinated by "Captain" Lux Lakshman.
This is a unique opportunity to learn more about the military in our area, and a chance to connect with fellow Rotarians from Chatham, Effingham, and Bryan Counties where we have over 500 members making a positive impact in our communities. In addition to the meeting, there will be a tour and opportunity to interact with our service members, traditionally called a “meet-your-Army” event.

12:40 - 13:30 Meeting - Speaker
13:30 - 15:30 Tour of the Hunter AAF including the USCG Air Station

This past Friday, RCSE had to opportunity to learn more about World Trade Center Savannah from speaker Antwone Mohammed! Before Antwone spoke, President Mark Sprosty reminded members of the All Area Rotary Meeting on Monday, April 14. If you would like to attend, you must RSVP to Kerri by the end of March. Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Mark introduced Antwone.
World Trade Center Savannah is the international arm of SEDA and was founded under SEDA in 2011. There are 300 World Trade Centers in 100 countries throughout the world. In 2024, WTC Savannah was ranked the top one in America! The mission of WTC Savannah is to attract investments and create jobs. Antwone discussed their business and trade services and gave an example of Savannah Bee selling their honey in overseas markets. He also talked about trade and market research, hosting groups from around the globe, TradeBridge (which fosters business between Southeast Georgia and Ireland), their Internship Program, and their signature event which is the Prosperity Through Trade Luncheon on May 15th. Antwone said he has learned that you don't have to leave your hometown to find purpose and make an impact on a community.
